The ability to attach a document to the ACT! record was added in version 7 (2005).
Here are a few ways you can attach documents to ACT! records.
- The documents tab
- The notes tab - you can attach a document to a note
- On the History tab - individual histories can have documents attached.
Security Caution - ACT stores documents attached to the database in the supplemental folder. With sync databases or on an unguarded network, users can search this folder from outside of ACT! and open files they may not have a need to see. Sugestion is to utilize network security, ACT for Web or Citrix, or a good ACT! usage guide to determine proper use within your organization
