Our Virtual Desktop solution works well with Mac Computers and Tablet computers of all types (including iPad). Because Act!, is a windows based product (as are QuickBooks and most versions of Microsoft Office), these programs do not run natively on non-Windows systems.
However, not to fear, there are ways to utilize these tools regardless of the hardware you have selected.
First a definition of terms:
App: utilities from the Apple App store, the google market are smaller, lighter versions of the program, because of the smaller form factor and weaker processors and more limited storage capacities of tablets and smartphones, a healthy app market has sprung up. With very few exceptions, windows based software does not run natively on these devices. The apps produced are designed to sync their data to a server while maintaining an Act! like experience.
